Rich, fudgy brownie sticks dipped in white chocolate and decorated with festive sprinkles are perfect for holiday celebrations and gifting. These treat-sized desserts bring a cheerful touch to any dessert table and make excellent homemade gifts.

I first created these brownie sticks as a way to combine my favorite brownie recipe with the holiday fun of decorating cookies. It quickly became a seasonal favorite for both adults and children.

Ingredients

  • Unsalted butter: 120 g (½ cup), melted
  • Granulated sugar: 200 g (1 cup)
  • Eggs: 2 large
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • All-purpose flour: 70 g (⅔ cup)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: 30 g (⅓ cup)
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • White chocolate or white candy melts: 170 g (6 oz), melted
  • Festive sprinkles: 2 tbsp (red, green, gold, silver, etc.)
  • Lollipop or popsicle sticks: 16, optional

Instructions

Prepare pan:
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 20x20 cm (8x8 inch) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
Melt & mix:
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar until well combined.
Add eggs & vanilla:
Whisk in eggs and vanilla until the mixture looks glossy and thick.
Add dry ingredients:
Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until just combined, without overmixing.
Bake:
Pour batter into the prepared pan, smooth the top, and bake for 28–32 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
Cool & cut:
Cool completely in the pan. Remove using parchment and cut into 16 sticks.
Melt chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
Decorate:
Dip one end of each brownie stick in melted white chocolate, place on parchment, and add sprinkles immediately.
Add sticks:
Insert a lollipop or popsicle stick into the uncoated end if desired. Let chocolate set fully before serving.

Method

Cut into Sticks: Remove brownies using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into 16 sticks, each approximately 3/4 inch wide.
